PLEASE NOTE THAT SESSIONS ARE SCHEDULED AT YOUR CONVENIENCE. PARENT'S ARE KINDLY ADVISED TO CHOOSE A TIME AND DAY THAT WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH THE CHILD'S SCHOOL SCHEDULE (I.E. EXTRA-MURAL ACTIVITIES).
AGES:• 36 month (3 years + )
REGISTRATION FEE• A once-off, non-refundable administration fee of R 300.00 is payable on commencement of lessons.• A non-refundable registration fee of R120 is due annually.LESSON CANCELATIONS:• Cancellations must be done at least 24 hours prior, preferably in writing per e-mail using swimschool@africanseadivers.com• We respectfully request parents to notify us in advance via sms or WhatsApp, if a swimmer will not be attending a training session. • Any information regarding the changing of swimming lessons will be sent via WhatsApp. This might happen during exams and over long weekends. We noticed WhatsApp to be an immediate source of communication rather than emails as not everyone has access to their e-mails every time.
MAKE-UP LESSON:Only for cancelations received in writing 24 hours prior your lesson time.• Booked make-up lessons can only be rescheduled if a letter from DOCTOR is presented.• It is your responsibility to book make-up lessons. • No Make-up lessons will be caried over to a new term/month and will not be refunded/credited.LESSONS MISSED: • Swimmers will be granted one (1) makeup lesson a month, provided 24 hours prior notice is given.FEELING ILL:• Students feeling ill or have symptoms of any sickness, MUST please stay at home and not attend the assessment or swim lesson(s). The lesson can be rescheduled to another day, you are allowed one chance to reschedule, otherwise you forfeit the lesson.
TERMINATION OF SWIMMING• Please note bookings renew each month. • If you do not want to continue ONE CALANDER MONTH NOTICE must be given in writing.• Please note you will be liable for a month’s swimming fee if no written notice is received as stipulated above.SWIMMING FEES ARE PAYABLE IN ADVANCE• Swimming fees are non-refundable.• MONTHLY INSTALMENTS - to be paid by the 7th of each month, in advance.• Please let us know if you are paying on the 15th of each month.• Swimmers will not be allowed in the pool if accounts are not settled, or an arrangement was made in writing. ALL fees are paid in advance for the upcoming month and are due on or by the 7th of each month. ALSO note you will still be liable for the fees even if you don't attend.
MONTHLY CLIENTS:• Monthly payments are a fixed amount regardless of the weeks in the month of the term.• If you plan not to swim you are still liable for your monthly fees. (Make-up can be arranged refer to lesson missed)
WE OPERATE from January to mid-December, with closures on Sundays and public holidays. We do not charge for the fifth lesson in months where it occurs. Nor do we charge for public holidays. The monthly fee took into account the above and does not charge for those days.
The swim school made provision to OPEN DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS, to allow swimmers continuity, however, these lessons are not charged, and are exclusively at the expense of the swim school, therefore, swimmers who do not attend during school holidays will not be granted make-up lessons.
In the event of severe WEATHER, classes may be canceled for safety reasons. Make-up lessons will be granted in the event.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
• Swimmers may opt to swim or not to swim during school holidays.• Regardless of their choice, they remain responsible for the monthly fee.• Please inform us in advance if you wish for the swimmer to continue swimming during school holidays.
PARENTS:• We kindly ask that all parents stay seated at all times, unless supervising other children.• Parents are advised to dispose of all swimming aids while swimming at home and apply the techniques that we teach in class, at home as well. This will ensure students’ progress quicker. Students using swimming aids will progress much slower and not learn to swim independently. • In some cases, the presence of a parent on pool deck affects the attention of the swimmer negatively. In such a case, we may have to request that the parent waits outside the pool area for the duration of the lesson. During this time, we might ask that you collect your child at the pool after swimming or even wait in your vehicle for the duration of the lesson.
DRESS CODE:• Students must wear a costume or they won’t be allowed to swim. No two-piece costumes for girls will be allowed, strictly bathing suits. No see-through bathing suits will be allowed (No pink ballet costumes-• Students must have their own swimming cap and own goggles. • Girls must swim with caps. No cap, No swimming. • African Sea Divers has caps and googles for sale. Caps range from R80-R120 and googles R250-R300. Please let us know in advance as we do not keep stock onsite.• All infants/children NOT FULLY potty trained must wear a swim nappy (also available in the office)
Neither African Sea Divers or the school, Curro Serengeti, will take responsibility for any injury or loss on the premises. Parents are advised to ensure that students understand the pool rules and are prepared for their lessons.
